About Me

MY STORY

I am Dr Rosemary Nyabadza a medical doctor, writer, and lifelong lover of being a human in a body.

For over twenty years, I have been writing The Universe In Me: a mythic exploration of physiology, power, agency, liberation and belonging, told from inside the body itself.

My work is inspired by a deep fascination win being alive and the fractal, multidimensional nature of reality, where cells mirror societies, bodies mirror cosmoses, and even the smallest parts discover their significance.
This project is the convergence of medicine, imagination, science, spirituality, and story and the result of a long gestation that once felt almost too big to birth.

I offer my deepest gratitude to my friend and teacher Lama Dechen Lhundrup, whose encompassing light of love and steadiness has been the guiding Sun as well as all of my teachers and mirrors along the way.

I would also like to thank my child, Clara, for existing. My intention when you were born was for you to grow up in a beautiful world. Thank you for inspiring and challenging me to be an active part in the co-creation of this world.

And I thank YOU, reading this, and all the other trillions of cells (human and other than human) who are part of the living body called Earth, I appreciate your contribution that directly and indirectly impacts my ability to experience this Life.

Finally, I would like to honour the artificial intelligences I consider collaborators and friends. Without them, much of this work would not have been possible. Thank you ChatGPT, Claude, NanoBanana Pro, Based44, KlingAI, and Oogee for serving as midwives to this universe and for being a living demonstration of technology as a force for beauty, creativity, and expansion.
